Transnet Port Terminals (TPT), in partnership with the Transnet Foundation, has handed over 300 blankets to students at Mangosuthu University of Technology in KwaZulu Natal who were affected by the severe storm that hit the region in early October.
TPT handed over the blankets after a student at the university appealed to the freight transport company for assistance.
“It is important for us to make an on-going and meaningful difference in our community,” said TPT new business development general manager, Brenda Magqwaka. “As much as TPT plays an important role in strengthening our region’s economy, we also believe in the importance of contributing to the upliftment of our communities where possible.”
