A SPARKLING new office complex certainly calls for breaking out the bubbly; a 20th anniversary even more so, hence Saficon Industrial Equipment - trading as Toyota Forklift - making it a double celebration in Cape Town last week.
The R17 million, 15 000m2, custom-built complex is located in Tygerburg Business Park, Parow Industria, and the guest of honour he who travelled furthest, Shoji Shimo, vice president, overseas sales and marketing, of Toyota Material Handling Company in Japan.
Also at the happy occasion were the Toyota Forklift founders, MD Don Bailiff and national sales director Rob Dutton.
Despite tough competition in the Western Cape, Toyota Forklift regional director Gary Neubert says the branch is in a commanding position, holding 60% of market share in the province and therefore able to contribute R200 million annually to national turnover of a little more than R1 billion.
