Kevin Mayhew COMBINING THE resources of three specialists in various key aspects of the freight industry, has created a strong service provider to the African and global freight logistics sector. Sadec Logistics is a co-operative venture between Southern and Central African logistics provider Avtrans, consolidator and freight forwarder HB Services, and Cargosuite, a Cape Town-based NVOCC. Spokesperson Hazel Briggs says that due to the constant changes in legislation governing the transportation of dangerous goods, a need was created for a company that complies with all the regulations, not only in South Africa, but globally as well. “With our head office based in Alberton, our entire staff complement is fully conversant with all aspects of the regulations. This includes our warehousing facilities,” she says. She added that all consignments were monitored in this regard from point of collection through to final delivery. Tracking of these shipments is also forwarded to the clients daily. “Sadec Logistics has a partnership agreement with a global logistics provider with international expertise in over 65 countries.”
