THE SHIPS serving the South Bay Line container
service between SA and the Far East have been pulled off the trade as the line, formed in June, splits from
its partnership with Singapore company, Express Container Line.
Speaking from the offices of local agents, Pegasus Shipping, Wiena Yang told FTW that they were currently trying to establish talks with South Bay regarding the line deploying its own ships on the trade next year.
Meantime, she said, South Bay Line is trying to buy slots from other carriers on the same run.
