DHL Express in collaboration with IAG Cargo will this month transport 1 900 kilos of surgical eye material to Lodwar Hospital in Turkana, north Kenya, The goods – which include much-needed medication, eye drops and intraocular lenses – will be delivered to doctors at the eye unit in Lodwar Hospital to carry out the necessary operations for treating diseases like cataracts and trachoma.
