LOCAL FREIGHT software company ShipShape has unveiled a trio of new Windows software modules - Groupages, Exports and Tariff Lookup - following a revamp of its core products.
Launching the new-look systems at the recent FIATA World Congress hosted by the SA Association of Freight Forwarders at Sun City, CEO Chrissie Du Barry commented: “The new modules utilise the full functionality and ease of use of Microsoft’s Windows in tandem with the unbridled power of Microsoft’s SQL Server 2000.
“This releases a whole host of benefits to our partners and clients in the freight industry, ranging from full EDI compliance in respect of manifest acquittals and customs declarations to production of electronic documents in industry standard formats. Seamless integration of our systems into existing Windows-based networks, transmission of EDI documents using the internet, and the ability to centralise country-wide networks are just some of the major considerations incorporated into the system design,” she said.
