Sebenza celebrates third anniversary

SEBENZA FORWARDING & Shipping Consultancy has opened offices in Pretoria and Port Elizabeth, bringing to five its national network as it celebrates its third birthday this month.
Headquartered in Gauteng, Sebenza opened offices in Cape Town and Durban shortly after its launch in 1997. The company has a staff complement of 76 nationwide.
The remarkable growth of South Africa's first black-owned specialist international freight forwarding and logistics company attracted the interest of Bidvest which subsequently came on board as a business partner, holding a substantial stake.
Time has flown since the launch of our company three years ago, says chairman Soto Ndukwana. South Africa continues to develop positively in all aspects with significant respect among international communities.
It is against this background that Sebenza Forwarding stands out as an example of the correct decision we took to embark on the first black economic empowerment initiative in the freight industry in this country.
The company currently has an 82% affirmative compliance track record and qualifies in every aspect of the current legislation, says managing director Mark Goodger.
With international partnerships covering the globe, it offers all freight forwarding and clearing services with representation at more than 200 partnership branches worldwide.
