STINNES AG, parent company of Schenker,
is up for sale.
According to the American Journal of Commerce, the majority shareholder, E.on AG, which owns 65,4% of Stinnes, announced last week that it intended to sell the logistics company by the end of the year in order to focus on its core energy business.
This has fuelled rumours that United Parcel Service plans to buy the forwarding company, but UPS spokesmen have declined to comment.
