Global schedule reliability is continuing to trend upwards, recording the largest month-on-month (m-o-m) increase in 2022 of 5.8 percentage points, reaching 46.2% in August.
That’s according to the latest Global Liner Performance (GLP) report compiled by maritime consultancy Sea-Intelligence, based on schedule reliability figures up to and including August.
The average delay for late vessel arrivals has been dropping sharply so far this year, tapering off a little in the past few months. In August, average delay improved sharply once again, dropping by -0.57 days m-o-m to 5.86 days.
“This is the first time that average delay has dropped below the six-day mark since April 2021,” says Sea-Intelligence CEO Alan Murphy.
