Johnstone Makhubu has been appointed chief financial officer of the South African Revenue Service (SARS) with immediate effect.
This follows his appointment as acting CFO in August last year. In his new permanent role, Makhubu will be responsible for the overall management of the revenue service’s finance division, including procurement and the corporate real estate portfolios.
Makhubu has more than 17 years of experience across the fast-moving consumer goods, mining, engineering and manufacturing, and power generation industries and prior to joining SARS as group executive for procurement in 2016 worked for Eskom.
