MSC, in partnership with
Transnet National Ports
Authority, is doing its bit to
address skills development.
As part of its socioeconomic
development
programme, the shipping line
has undertaken the training of
20 local South African marine
cadets on board MSC vessels.
Pictured alongside are the
first two cadets who sailed
from Durban on board the
MSC Chiara. They will be
followed by three more on
board the MSC Denisse.

In training … Deomyd Novikov (chief
officer), cadet Morne Share, Captain
Valeriy Komarnytskyy, cadet Steven
Vanda and MSC operations director
Captain Ian Rosario on board the
MSC Chiara in Durban.
