A COMPANY secretary and a bank employee have been found guilty in the Germiston Magistrate's Court on related round-tripping charges.
David Sabra of Zamzar Trading was found guilty of fraudulenlty claiming VAT exemptions of R48m for high technology equipment claimed to have been exported to the Democratic of the Congo, but which was never exported.
Co-accused David Jacobs of the Volkskas Bank foreign exchange department in Randburg, was convicted of writing false letters on bank letterheads verifying that the funds for the export had been paid into Sabra's account.
