Regional know-how helps cut costs

Charter broker records substantial growth CHARTER BROKERS Aviair Freight Logistics have recorded substantial growth into Africa over the past year, particularly in the mining, telecommunication and securities sectors, according to sole owner Tomi Nowak. And Nigeria stands out as one of the major boom areas. Getting freight to difficult destinations is a challenge which Aviair embraces with gusto. “As we regularly travel into the areas in which we are involved, we have the know-how to make things work,” says Nowak. “Our strength is our knowledge of the continent and the services that are available within the logistics field. We are often able to cut costs by offering combinations of charter and scheduled airlines. “By taking time to get to know the products we are transporting we can offer a comprehensive logistics solution for projects, and this does not necessarily entail only airfreight.” Charity flights on behalf of charity organisations have also been a feature of the company’s recent service record. “We have been involved in particular with Gift of the Givers who are always the first to arrange aid wherever needed. “As we make our money in Africa, our involvement in charities like this is a way for us to give back to the region.”
