Although countries in our hinterland are members of institutions such as SADC that promote regional integration, we continue to see all border crossings in the region being sources of delays and congestion. This makes cross-border as well as transit cargo f lows much less efficient. My wish is that the promise of regional integration is realised and the private and public sectors work together to finally make seamless trade without loss of security or sovereignty a reality.
