Regional Integration for efficient cross-border logistics

Although countries in our hinterland are members of institutions such as SADC that promote regional integration, we continue to see all border crossings in the region being sources of delays and congestion. This makes cross-border as well as transit cargo f lows much less efficient. My wish is that the promise of regional integration is realised and the private and public sectors work together to finally make seamless trade without loss of security or sovereignty a reality. Benefiting, of course, the logistics industry but, more importantly, lowering the cost of trade for the general economies.Jade is the Africa CEO of Aero Africa, an air cargo management group dedicated to providing neutral African logistic solutions and value-added services to the international logistics and aviation community.Born in South Africa, Jade rose through the ranks to be one of the global trendsetters in the freight forwarding and aviation industry.He takes pride in his more than 30 years of international experience in the freight forwarding and aviation industries.
