GIVEN THE tight schedule of cabinet ministers, there comes a time when they have to make an on-thespot decision – and so it was with transport minister, Jeff Radebe, says Wibo Aris, board chairman of The Waco System and also chairman of WorldNet Logistics. Aris, retired to Curacao in the Dutch Antilles but still active in the logistics industry, recalls the pleasure of meeting transport minister Jeff Radebe in the Hague at a dinner also attended by the Dutch minister of transport and waterways and the South African ambassador to the Netherlands less than a month ago. Aris told FTW that he immediately extended an invitation to Radebe, if circumstances permitted, to attend the annual general meeting of Waco in Cape Town. Radebe’s response was spontaneously very positive, he said.
