Anna Cox THE AUTOMOTIVE Industry Development Centre (AIDC) recently signed a R12 million agreement with four Gauteng-based tertiary institutions in an attempt to make it competitive nationally and internationally. The agreement aims to improve capacity in technical skills training, automotive engineering and managerial skills in the automotive industry. Established jointly by the CSIR and the Blue IQ initiative, the AIDC aims to support the South African automotive industry in its drive for global competitiveness.
