R1.1bn allocated for Pretoria’s logistics infrastructure

The Wonderboom National Airport will receive R34 million for upgrades and maintenance for this financial year.

The City of Tshwane's Roads and Transport Department has exceeded its annual project delivery targets for the 2016/17 financial year, with a budget to the tune of R1.1 billion for the current financial year, said member of the mayoral committee, Sheila Lynn Senkubuge, in a statement.

The amount of R1.1bn is to be split as follows:  R34 million for the Wonderboom National Airport; R669.2 million for the A Re Yeng bus project and R375.8 million for roads.
