Ray Smuts CAPESPAN SUBSIDIARY Fresh Produce Terminals is in shock as police continue to probe the death by shooting of executive Michael Verreynne. The 37-year-old planning and logistics manager for FPT in the Port of Cape Town, Verreynne was found dead by family after returning from a weekend shopping outing. A missing vehicle was subsequently retrieved. Verreynne had two bullet wounds in the chest and was lying in the jacuzzi of the family's La Rochelle, Belville, home. FPT m.d. Ronnie Kingwill told FTW Verreynne had planned to join GoReefers in a newly-created position as manager for the Western Cape but decided against it. "Michael's death is a great loss to us. We were very optimistic about his future with the company and the opportunities we were offering him in the marketing field so it's not only a loss to us but the fruit industry as a whole as he was highly respected by all."
