ED RICHARDSON PANALPINA HAS opened a service centre in Montgomery, Alabama, to serve the transportation and logistics needs of its automotive customers in the fast growing Southern Belt of the United States, an increasingly important region for the automotive industry. The 15 000 m2 facility offers advanced supply chain processes and is strategically located just six kilometres from the Hyundai Motor manufacturing plant, which opened earlier this year and will grow to produce 300 000 vehicles a year by 2007.
