Tusker to open in Cape Town by July KEVIN MAYHEW TUSKER PACKAGING – presently based in Kempton Park – is to move to new premises to provide increased warehousing capacity. Managing director Reinhardt van der Westhuizen says successfully completing this move along with expansion to Cape Town are the main goals of Tusker in 2005. The company expects to open in Cape Town by July. The new warehousing facility will be used for client warehousing as well as for project cargoes to be crated and palletised for export. Specialised packing and abnormal facilities will be available on site. “We have also been accredited by the Department of Agriculture for compliance with the IPPC standards for the heat treatment of wooden pallets and packaging. This strengthens our ability to provide a comprehensive packaging service which includes warehousing capacity,” he explained.
