Ocean Network Express (ONE) has added a Mombasa (Kenya) call to its Maputo, India, Middle East (MIM) service which was launched in May.
The additional call will provide a direct connection between the Middle East, India and Kenya.
Although the service code MIM remains unchanged, the service name has been changed to Maputo/Mombasa India Middle East to reflect the added port call.
It will begin with the westbound sailing arriving at Jebel Ali on September 9, and the eastbound sailing from Mombasa on September 20.
The new MIM service rotation is as follows: Jebel Ali – Mundra – Mombasa - Maputo – Jebel Ali (bi-weekly frequency).
In announcing the launch of its MIM service in May, the line said it was designed to provide a new gateway option to hinterland markets in South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.
