Terry Hutson ANYONE IN the market for a tug or two? The National Ports Authority has two surplus to requirement Voith propulsion tractor tugs for sale at the Port of Richards Bay. Tenders for the disposal of the tugs named Ibhaku and Indwa have been invited. The two became available following the introduction of a more powerful 55t bollard pull Voith tug named Indlazi that was built at SA Shipyards in Durban last year. The two surplus tugs were built in Durban in 1974 and each has a bollard pull of 43 ton. The tender closes on September 23 at the Transnet Tender Office in Johannesburg.
