Nigerian plant uses SA parts

Improved logistics links
between South Africa and
Nigeria are creating new
opportunities.
Ford Ranger body parts
and components produced
at the company’s plant in
Silverton outside Pretoria
are being exported as semi
knocked down kits to
Nigeria for assembly.
The first Nigerianassembled
Ranger has
rolled off the assembly
line at Coscharis
Motors, which is based
in Ikeja, Lagos State,
approximately 750km
south-west of Nigeria’s
capital city Abuja.
