New tracking system on the cards

Neutral consolidator CFR Freight will soon launch a “comprehensive” document management and tracking system to all its airfreight clients, along with improvements to its WebCargoNet electronic freight rates system.

“Our WebCargoNet tool has been utilised for two years now and, through our close working relationship with the developers, we believe our clients have a plethora of information at their fingertips that helps them to be more efficient and proactive on pricing and services available on airfreight import and export products,” said CFR airfreight general manager, Stephen Bishop.

Following the recent annual conference in Milan, Italy of the AirCargoGroup, a global network of neutral airfreight wholesalers of which CFR is a member, CFR Freight’s airfreight division was looking to launch “new and improved” services for Australia, Spain and Brussels. Bishop said the company’s partners were happy to commit to block-space agreements on these routes to allow for a “good mix of price and service”.
