The Manga-Mungassa special economic zone (SEZ), in Sofala province, which has recently been set up by the Mozambiquan government, will be managed by the private sector, the spokesman for the Council of Ministers and fishing minister, Victor Borges, said in Maputo, according to a macauhub report.
As well as having an international logistics centre with a view to maximising the potential of the Beira Corridor, the project includes hotel units and residential areas, and a duty-free industrial, which is intended to attract both national and foreign investors.
The SEZ covers an area of 217-hectares.
