SEPTEMBER THIS year will see the launch of a new service linking Cape Town, LŸderitz, Walvis Bay, St Helena and Ascension Island. The RMS St Helena, managed by Andrew Weir Shipping, will offer a 23 day service in each direction between the ports. “The regular three weekly calls at Walvis Bay and Luderitz, both north and south bound, will allow St Helena Line to provide a new coastal cargo and passenger service which will bring new opportunities to the Namibian economy,” a spokesman for the line told FTW.
