The SA Association of Ship Operators and Agents elected a new chairman and vice chairman at its AGM last week. Paul Scannell of Seaclad Maritime takes over from. Andrew Thomas as chairman while Felix Scheder-Bieschin, MD of Maritime Carrier Shipping, is the new vice chairman for 2010. Saasoa is in the process of setting its priorities for the year. These will include a greater focus on engagement with its members while ensuring that action is taken to improve port productivity.
