The North West chapter of the South African Network for Women in Transport (Sanwit) was launched today (Monday) by the deputy minister of Transport, Sindisiwe Chikunga, and North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Mpho Motlhabane.
“This initiative aims to uplift, empower and foster the transformation agenda of women in the transport sector in the North West province,” said spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Collen Msibi.
According to Msibi, Sanwit will create a platform to deliberate on issues and address the challenges that affect women in the transport sector.
