GlobalTec Communications, a provider of cost-effective communication solutions, has welcomed the arrival of a new kid on the block – Neotel. According to the company, the end of Telkom’s monopoly is good news for the entire industry and healthy competition is expected in coming months. “The second network operator is set to drive prices down and improve service delivery, with long delays being something of the past,” says Globaltec’s Derick Beukes. “Neotel, which has partnered with Samsung Networking to deliver its Neoflex products to the SME sector, has ensured that cable theft is a thing of the past as last-mile connectivity is provided wirelessly. All major centres are now connected via optic fibre which is of no interest to cable thieves, but provides speed-oflight transmission rates to the customers.” GlobalTec Communications SA, an authorised Samsung Communications Distributor with a strong background in the logistics sector, believes that Samsung is the ideal channel partner for Neotel and provides a great deal of comfort to prospective customers. The latest BMI-T report rates Samsung as the largest private PABX brand after Telkom with 24% and 28% respectively of new PABX sales in 2007. Experts believe the introduction of Neotel and the subsequent rollout of its services will attract new subscribers effortlessly thanks to its savings.
