The University of Stellenbosch, in partnership with STC International in Rotterdam, have opened the Maritime, Ports, Transport and Logistics Academy (MPTLA).
Offering short courses and management development programmes which are developed based on local and international curricula and best practices tailored to the local situation in southern Africa, the academy will also provide technical assistance and research services to industry.
According to a spokesman for MPTLA, the first three-day course is scheduled to start on June 5. The courses will be offered through different learning approaches including standard, e-learning and blended platforms across southern Africa while supported by a combination of Dutch and South African facilitators.
