SACD HAS rebranded and refocused as it renews its drive to maintain dominance in the container and cargo handling sectors.
“Our new corporate image and mission statement – Get it right on time - is in line with our business objectives,” says managing director Graham Peinke.
“We have changed our focus from being purely a container depot to the shipping lines to being an integral link in the supply chain.”
Currently handling in excess of
1.5 million tons of international cargo annually, SACD provides a comprehensive one-stop service managing the logistical supply chain in southern Africa. Through its association with the Manica Group and its terminals in neighbouring states, the company provides a southern African network for the seamless movement of cargo, he added.
Electronic sophistication plays a major role, which is why SACD has invested heavily in systems that are compatible with those of its clients, striving for integration on both an operational and communication level. “Due to our information exchange and technological abilities in the industry we are able to compete very successfully for international contracts,” he said.
“The new look and feel of the company will reflect one of our strongest selling propositions - our flexibility to accommodate the needs of our clients,” he added.
“We listen to what our clients require and then create a service that is custom-made to their needs. The fact that we have facilities strategically placed close to all the major trade routes in South Africa contributes to our efficiency and service levels.”
