DUBAI, MUSCAT, Entebbe, Kinshasa and Lubumbashi are all on Air Tanzania’s planned schedule following the purchase by South African Airways of a 49% share in the airline at a cost of US$20 million. Additional regional routes on the planning boards include Johannesburg and Nairobi from Dar es Salaam. Domestic routes in Tanzania have been expanded with additional frequencies to Mwanza, Kilimanjaro, Mtwara and Zanzibar. Air Tanzania’s fleet now comprises three B737-200s and two Dash 8 aircraft.
