Grupo Mesquita has opened a new 60 000-sqm dry port consisting of warehouses and an open container yard in the Beira industrial area. The multi million rand investment is in response to the need to provide bonded facilities outside of the port boundaries, according to Celso Mesquita, director of Grupo Mesquita. A second phase, which will add a further 800 000 sqm of bonded storage area served by a rail siding, is being planned.
