New consultancy combines IT and logistics expertise

Specialist division focuses on job placements Clive Emdon A NEW independent consultancy which offers a range of value-added services to the freight and logistics industry has opened its doors in Johannesburg. Headed up by staff with extensive experience in IT systems who have worked with agents and their clients, its services include project work, system integration and software design, and the recruiting of qualified and experienced IT staff for the industry, says George Theodossion, a director of the new company, Prime-X. Directors Michael Henning, Theodossion and Aaron Toys were account managers at Compu-Clearing for many years before setting up Prime-X Business and Account Management Services. Prime-X is a business partner to Compu-Clearing and ideally positioned to provide quotations, set ups and training on the Compu-Clearing software suite of products, says Henning. “In addition, we are able to provide business intelligence software solutions to the industry, an example of which is a product that offers a combined intranet, document management and report-writing system.” X-Act placements, a division of Prime-X that concentrates on recruitment for all aspects of the freight and logistics industry, is headed by Joshua Alexander. “With our 25 years of combined experience in the freight industry and our established relationships with clients, we are ideally suited to test and place the right people,” says Alexander. “We aim to keep it simple. We charge a set rate for all positions – terms and conditions can be found on our web page, www.prime-x.co.za,” he said. Currently the company has 25 jobs on offer ranging from invoicing clerks to middle and top management positions.
