NET Logistics has expanded its network from Jet Park Johannesburg and Harare Zimbabwe to Lusaka. “We have opened offices in Lusaka with our freight forwarding partner S&M Freight which has extensive industry knowledge and experience. They will work closely with our Zambian customers to manage and oversee all clearing and off-loading procedures,” says Pierre van der Westhuizen, NET Logistics commercial manager.

“We offer a specialised and integrated turnkey and supply chain and freight consolidation service from South Africa to Zambia and the rest of the region. Our fleet consist of 22 vehicles dedicated to the Zambian route and includes a range of 1-ton to 33-ton truck/trailer configurations or shelved taut liners to enable double stacking of goods.

“We can procure and expedite orders from suppliers in South Africa and globally and ultimately become our customer’s buying office” he says.

According to Van der Westhuizen the company endeavours to develop customised solutions to suit customers’ individual requirements and pocket.

“Our customer care staff in South Africa are highly trained to adapt to an ever-changing environment as we understand that border and customs procedures are very volatile.

“With our mantra ‘Right the First time’ we experience high levels of success in terms of customer satisfaction.

“The quality of our service lies in the fact that we work according to a standard operating procedure, which gives our customers the assurance that everything is under control – all the time.”

According to Van der Westhuizen, every consignment arriving at the company’s 2000sqm warehouse facility in Jet Park is pre-cleared in order to cut down on wasted time.

“From the moment our customer’s consignment arrives at our warehouse until finally delivered to its premises in Zambia, they have a full and accurate view of the whereabouts of their goods.”

NET Logistics has marketing teams in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia in order to develop strong personal working relationships with both customers and suppliers, he says.
