Importers, exporters and transporters are concerned about the seeming lack of progress on the implementation of one-stop border posts between Namibia and neighbouring countries, says Harald Schmidt, secretary general of the Namibia Logistics Association (NLA).
The growth of the corridors and the success of the new Walvis Bay terminal are dependent on the free flow of goods through the borders, he says.
“Early last year we attended a workshop for the single window, but since then nothing has happened,” he told FTW
The NLA is continuing to attempt to engage with government to speed up implementation.
