NAMIBIA ROAD Carriers Association (Namrod) has decided to set up a clearing and broker unit under the umbrella of the Walvis Bay Corridor Group. The task of the unit is to co-ordinate road haulage capacity and to cater efficiently for large volumes of cargo being channelled through Walvis Bay into the SADC region.
Namrod, in doing this, has increased the ability of its members to compete successfully in the highly competitive road haulage market in the region, says the Group's business development executive Frank Gschwender.
