A DISCIPLINARY HEARING into the activities of four suspended senior Namibia Airports Company (NAC) officials last week has been postponed after their lawyers claimed that NAC had failed to provide them with a detailed audit.
The state-owned company suspended the quartet after uncovering a massive scam involving millions of Namibian dollars.
The officials held the positions of general manager, financial accountant, system administrator and the latter’s assistant.
The key suspect in the matter was the company’s former management accountant, Simwanza Lilungwe, who committed suicide shortly after the fraud was uncovered.
NAC has announced that a statement is to be issued shortly regarding the state of the audit.
