The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has placed an embargo – with immediate effect – on any consignments containing shark-related products.
According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the continuous consumption of shark-related products, such as shark fin soup, poses a threat to the already endangered species.
The WWF has appealed to all sea and air freight companies to ban all shipments immediately.
