More flights on Swazi, Mpumalanga and Umtata routes

THE MAJOR domestic and regional airline, Airlink, is quietly expanding three of its flight schedules. In September, Swaziland Airlink added an extra Sunday afternoon return flight to its service between Johannesburg and Manzini in Swaziland. In mid-October it added extra return flights to its schedule on Monday mornings and Thursday and Friday afternoons. From November 1, Airlink plans to introduce extra evening return flights during the business week to its Johannesburg- Mpumalanga service, intended to offer business passengers an extended “same-day” return facility. It currently operates seven daily return flights (Monday to Friday) and three daily return flights on Saturdays and Sundays on the route. Last week, Airlink introduced additional flight capacity between Johannesburg and Umtata. This followed the recent addition of an extra return flight on Sundays, while October 18 saw extra afternoon return flights added to its schedule for Thursdays and Fridays. Airlink now offers a total of 10 return flights a week on this route.
