RAY SMUTS
THE RECENT merger between Vinfruco and Stellenbosch Vineyards has been formalised with the creation of a new wine exporting company, Omnia Wines.
The company will have turnover of around R400 million on approximately 2.2 million cases this year, of which exports will account for 80%.
Future plans include consolidation of this export base, mainly in the UK and Europe, and development of new opportunities, particularly in the USA.
