THE FULL range of Mercedes-Benz models will travel the world to their destinations on Wilhelmsen Lines as a result of a three-year contract, worth $30 million, signed between the manufacturers and the shipping company.
The models, including the new A-class, will travel on the Europe/South Africa and South Africa - Australia routes, as well as Europe-Australia/ New Zealand, Europe - South East Asia/Far East and North America - Australia/New Zealand.
Wilhelmsen Lines are one of the world's largest operators of roll-on/roll-off and pure-car-truck carriers.
Our extensive network of trades, including service in and out of South Africa, was a key factor leading Mercedes to decide in our favour, says Wilhelmsen Lines vice president Rune Loew.
