LEONARD NEILL DAIMLERCHRYSLER IS to import the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 416 CDI tourist bus in broken down form in order to meet growing demands from the tourism and hotel industries for the high security 18-seater vehicle. The parts are imported from Argentine after which Ikhwezi Trucktech, the East London-based empowerment company which works closely with DaimlerChrysler in the city, has been contracted to build and finish the vehicles. This includes fitting seats, windows, railings, parcel shelves and other items specified by local customers.
