Meihuizen takes on SALCS agency

RAY SMUTS CAPE TOWN-based Meihuizen International has been appointed official South African agents for the spanking new Europe/South Africa service to be launched this month by black-owned South African Liner Container Services. The first vessel in the new venture, the 750TEU, 7 681 GT, MV Encounter, was launched at Harlingen on May 15. The line will call at Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
