ALAN PEAT THE CONTROVERSIAL demand that certain categories of medicine imports must only be imported to SA through a handful of named ports and airports is not likely to be changed, according to consultant Edward Little. “Although we have given the department of health an extensive list of explanations as to why we find this excessively restricting, and impossible to apply to the likes of medicine imports coming in from Zimbabwe by road, our case has been ignored,” he said. The matter has now been placed before the new board of the association, to see if they can come up with any new methods of having the legislation amended.
