THE SA Maritime School in Durban has discontinued Grades 10-11 and some students have been transferred to other schools including New Forest High School and Grosvenor Boys High School where maritime studies form part of their curriculum.
Grade 12 learners will however remain with the school as they are in their final year and it is felt any disruption to their schooling would be detrimental to them.
All chart tables and other equipment acquired by SA Maritime School are to be donated to Grosvenor Boys High School on Durban's Bluff, where maritime studies are to be offered.
