GROWTH IN in SA’s manufacturing production rebounded strongly in May, increasing to 5.1% year-on-year (y/y) after what was described as “a meagre performance” of 0.1% in April. “While this growth rate comes from a low base in May last year, there has been a sense of revival in the industry,” said a Standard Bank research team.
