JOY ORLEK A US survey, conducted from December 2004 to January 2005, has revealed that the decision to outsource is still inhibited by a perceived loss of ownership. eyefortransport’s Outsourcing Logistics Survey drew responses from over a hundred logistics professionals from manufacturing and retail companies. It suggests that while 3PL customers are generally happy with the level of service they’re getting (81%) and the majority are keen to outsource more of their logistics activities to 3PLs in the near future (75%), there are still some reservations. The survey results can be downloaded from http://www.eyefortransport.com/ousourcelog/report
