Line upgrades north-south service

Hapag-Lloyd has upgraded its direct EAX service between Europe and Australia.

From December it will have new port calls in the French ports of Fos sur Mer and Pointe de Galets (Reunion) on the southbound leg; the same short, 30 to 36-day transit times from Europe to Australia; and the Italian port switched from Genoa to Salerno on the northbound leg.

The new port rotation (as of Box Emma sailing from Tilbury on December 11) will be: Tilbury–Hamburg–Rotterdam–Le Havre–Fos–Genoa–Damietta–(Suez Passage)–Pointe de Galets–Fremantle–Melbourne–Sydney–Adelaide–Singapore–Pt. Kelang–Chennai–Colombo–Cochin–(Suez Passage)–Damietta–Malta–Salerno–Tilbury.
